Alexandra grew up in Israel’s multicultural mélange.  From a young age, she was exposed to the concept of handcrafted design by her French couturier mother, a seamstress who tailored her clothes until she was a teen.  Alexandra initially pursued a career as a filmmaker, but in 2004, during a jewelry bench class, that she found her passion. Alexandra launched her first collection at Phillips de Pury in New York City in December of 2010. In 2016, after a decade in New York City working on her Signature collection, Alexandra felt she needed to awaken her senses and decided to move to the island of Bali, Indonesia, to enhance her spirit.  It was in Bali where Mor set out to create a more meaningful, and eco-conscious practice. She launched an initiative to use tagua seeds, a seed that grows wild in the Amazon, as an alternative to elephant ivory in jewelry designs.

The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami, stated “Choosing Alexandra for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make.  She is in a class of her own. Her talent, grace and brilliance at what she does, sets the bar very high for others in her industry and she is the whole package in everything we look for in outstanding professionals.  We felt she would make an amazing asset to our organization and we are looking forward to meeting her at the gala.”
